Latest Update: Honda is offering savings of up to Rs 37,896 on the fifth-generation City this Diwali. Also, the diesel variants of Honda City might be discontinued next year.
Price: Honda retails the fifth generation City from Rs 11.57 lakh to Rs 15.52 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
Variants: The sedan is offered in three trims: V, VX and ZX. The City Hybrid is based on the top-spec ZX trim.
Boot Space: The boot can accommodate up to 506 litres of luggage.
Engine and Transmission: Honda has provided the City with two engine options: a 1.5-litre petrol unit (making 121PS and 145Nm) and a 1.5-litre diesel (making 100PS and 200Nm). Both are paired to a six-speed MT. The former also gets a seven-speed CVT option. The compact sedan also gets a hybrid iteration that houses a dual-motor setup giving a fuel efficiency of 26.5kmpl (claimed).

- Petrol MT: 17.8kmpl
- Petrol CVT: 18.4kmpl
- Diesel MT: 24.1kmpl
Features: It gets an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Weblink support. It also comes with 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and ambient lighting.
Safety: The City has up to six airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, a rear-view camera and ISOFIX child seat anchors.
Rivals: Honda’s compact sedan takes on the Hyundai Verna, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Skoda Slavia and the Volkswagen Virtus.
